We camped here for the first-time last summer and we absolutely loved it. The only limiting factor was excessive noise (loud music till late night) but that can be easily handled by booking the radio-free campground. We booked this at the last minute, radio-free campground was not available and plus it was not a long camping anyway!
The park is beautiful for warm summer days. Beach is absolutely perfect both for humans and pets, which is a very rare combination. The dog beach has some pebbles that would hurt your feet for a very small distance, once you pass that, it’s very soft sand. You can wear water shoes to avoid that problem. There are picnic tables overlooking water on the regular beach which gives you wonderful views both at sunrise and sunset. Take a walk in the shores towards the regular beach side early morning, it’s a wonderful experience.
If you are visiting Point farm, make sure you also visit the beautiful town of Goderich. It’s also called the prettiest town of Ontario, so a visit is worth your time. This city is home to plenty of Victorian style homes and to the largest underground salt mine in the world. There is also good public beach which you can access for free. We loved the Beach street station restaurant; it has a really good patio overlooking water. Food is good too! This town is also your nearest grocery destination if you have to do some last-minute errands.
